GENERAL CONTEST RULES
The following rules apply generally to all Est.Today contests. However, since Est.Today runs a variety of contests, at times certain rules will not pertain or additional or different rules may apply. If those circumstances are not noted in these rules, then they will be announced in a separate set of Special Rules for each contest. For each contest, the Special Rules and these General Rules will both apply.
I. NAME OF SPONSOR(S)
Make It My Own, Inc. (hereinafter referred to as "Sponsor").
II. ELIGIBILITY
Each contest is open to all legal United States residents between five and eighteen years of age as of entry date. Some contests may have a more restricted age limit.
Any individuals (including but not limited to employees, consultants, independent contractors, and interns) who have, within the past six months, performed services for Sponsor, any organizations responsible for sponsoring, fulfilling, administering, advertising or promoting the contest or supplying the prize, and their respective parent, subsidiary, affiliated and successor companies, and immediate family and household members of such individuals, are not eligible to enter or play. "Immediate family members" shall mean parents, step-parents, children, step-children, siblings, step-siblings, or spouses. "Household members" shall mean people who share the same residence at least three months a year.
In the event that a child is young and needs assistance in visiting Est.Today.com, parental or guardian assistance is permitted in entering the website, but nothing more.
III. HOW TO ENTER
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY.
Sponsor offers contest opportunities to users at various times.
Depending on a particular contest, a user can enter the contest via online entry at Est.Today.com. Specific instructions will be given in the website as to how to enter each contest and what the user will need to do to be a valid entrant.
Entry deadlines will be announced in the website.
Unless otherwise specified in the Special Rules, users can participate in contests as many times as they wish until they win. Multiple winners from the same household are permitted (for example, two sisters can each win a prize during the same period).
To qualify to win, a user (or parent/legal guardian of a user) must log in on the website and create a profile. In the event of a dispute as to the identity of an entrant based on an e-mail address, the entrant will be declared to be the authorized account holder of the e-mail address submitted at time of entry. “Authorized account holder” is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an e-mail address by an Internet access provider, on-line service provider, or other organization (e.g., business, educational, institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address. In the event that the online entry does not contain all necessary information, the user will be disqualified from the contest.
Sponsor is not responsible for failed, partial or garbled computer transmissions, or for technical failures of any kind, including but not limited to electronic malfunction or damage of any network, hardware or software. If for any reason the contest is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or other causes that corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the contest, Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the contest. No responsibility is assumed for: any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, entries; or any problems or technical malfunctions of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers, providers, computer equipment, or software; or failure of any e-mail or electronic entry to be received on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any Web-site, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to entrant's or any other person's computer related to or resulting from participation in or downloading any materials from this contest.
Entries remain the property of Sponsor and will not be returned or acknowledged.
IV. WINNER ODDS AND NOTIFICATION
The number of winners will depend on the contest and will be announced on the website.
Odds of winning depend on number of valid entries. Many will enter, few or sometimes only one, will win.
Winner(s) will be announced on the website, unless any alternative notification procedures are announced on the website. Each winner will be personally notified by email. Users may obtain a copy of these rules by clicking on the "________" button and then the "_____________________" link.
If a selected entrant cannot be reached after a reasonable effort has been made, or if an entrant is found to be ineligible, an alternate winner may be selected. If a prize or prize notification is returned as undeliverable, the selected entrant may be disqualified, and an alternate winner may be selected.
V. PRIZE(S)
Unless otherwise specified in the Special Rules, all prizes or prize certificates will be mailed out to the individual winner's address which was provided to Sponsor. Any prize or prize certificates not claimed from Sponsor within forty-five (45) days of winning will be forfeited by the winner. Winner assumes the risk of safe arrival of prize or prize package. Sponsor is not responsible for lost, stolen, damaged, mutilated or misdirected mail, or unsafe arrival of a prize, prize certificates or prize package.
Some restrictions and limitations may apply.
All expenses not specifically described in the website or herein are the winner's sole responsibilities.
Federal, state and local taxes, if any, are the sole responsibilities of the winner, who will receive an IRS Form 1099 reflecting the final actual value of any prize valued at $600 or more.
Winners are not entitled to exchange or transfer prizes or to obtain cash or other substitutes, but Sponsor in its sole discretion may substitute prizes of equal or greater value.
If won by a minor, prize will generally be awarded in parent's or guardian's name.
VI. RELEASES
By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these official rules and the decisions of the Sponsor, which shall be final in all respects.
By participating in this contest and/or accepting any prize that they may win, entrants agree to release Sponsor, its parent, subsidiary, affiliated and successor companies, advertising and promotion agencies and prize suppliers, and each of their respective officers, directors, agents, representatives and employees, as well as each of their respective successors, representatives and assigns (collectively, the "Released Parties") from any and all actions, claims, injury, loss or damage arising in any manner, directly or indirectly, from participation in this contest and/or acceptance or use of the prize.
Entrants authorize the Released Parties to use their name, voice, likeness, biographical data, city and state of residence and entry materials in programming or promotional material, in any media now known or hereafter created, worldwide in perpetuity, or on a winner's list, if applicable, without further compensation. Sponsor is not obligated to use any of the above mentioned information or materials, but may do so and may edit such information or materials at Sponsor's sole discretion, without further obligation or compensation.
To claim a prize, winner and/or winner's parent or guardian must: (a) provide proof of winner's age, residency, and legal status; (b) sign and return eligibility, publicity, liability and any other releases requested by Sponsor; and (c) have winner's intended guest(s) or travel companion(s), if any, sign and return releases requested by Sponsor; all within the time period(s) specified by Sponsor.
VII. MISCELLANEOUS
Void where prohibited. The laws of the United States govern each contest. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply.
Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process and to cancel, terminate, modify and/or suspend the contest in the event of tampering or other circumstances, including but not limited to acts of God or civil disturbance that render it impractical or impossible to complete or fulfill the contest as originally planned.
Sponsor reserves the right to make changes in these rules. Any such changes will become effective upon notice via online posting at Est.Today.com or other means of wide dissemination.
SPECIAL CONTEST
RULES
By participating in this Contest, whether as an entrant or a voter, each person agrees to abide by these Special Contest Rules as well as the General Contest Rules (found at __________) which apply to all Est.today contests.
Each entrant may enter as many designs as she wishes.
Three semi-finalists will be selected by the vote of all [registered] users of the website (including all contest entrants). A voter can vote for as many designs as she wishes, but not more than once for any one design.
Designs can be submitted at any time up to midnight EST on _________________, 2009. Voting for the three semi-final designs will be permitted at any time up to midnight EST on ______________, 2009. The three semi-final designs will be announced on the website and then each [registered] user will have the right to vote once for only one of three semi-final designs until ______________, 2009 and the design having the most votes will be the winner of the contest.
After the final vote is tallied, the winning design will be announced on the website.
Make It My Own, Inc. will make all decisions concerning the conduct of the voting and its decisions will be final. If there are any ties, Make It My Own, Inc. will settle those ties in any way that it believes is appropriate.

RULES
• The semi-finalists, finalists and winner of this Contest must be legal resident (s) of the United States or Canada between seven and fourteen years of age as of the entry date.
• By participating in this Contest, whether as an entrant or a voter, each person agrees to abide by these Special Contest Rules as well as the General Contest Rules, www.esttoday.com/contestrules which apply to all Est.today contests.
• Each entrant may enter as many designs as she wishes.
• Contest closes on April 30th . Mimo and DG editorial team will select 20 semi finalists.
• Three finalists are to be chosen from the pool of 20 semi finalists pool based on most number of votes cast from web users.
• The winner of this Contest will be chosen from the three finalists by Mimo and DG Editorial Team. Winner will receive a $200.00 shopping spree at the Est.Today website. The winner and her design will also be featured both in the website and in DG Magazine, and there is no retail value related to that.
• Three finalists (including main winner) will also win their design, made exclusively for them by Est. Today and mailed to their home address (approximate retail value of $20-60, plus shipping ).
• Additionally 50 $40.00 Est. Today Gift Cards will be awarded to entrants chosen at random.
• Designs can be submitted at any time up to midnight EST on April 30th , 2009. Voting for the three semi-final designs will be permitted at any time up to midnight EST on June 1, 2009. The three semi-final designs will be announced on the website and then each [registered] user will have the right to vote once for only one of three semi-final designs until June 24, 2009 and then the winner will be chosen by the Mimo and DG editorial team.
• After the final vote is tallied, the winning design will be announced on Est Today’s website and in Discovery Girls magazine.
• Make It My Own, Inc. will make all decisions concerning the conduct of the voting and its decisions will be final. If there are any ties, Make It My Own, Inc. will settle those ties in any way that it believes is appropriate.
